Our picture shows 13 - year - old Philip Dunne ( right ), 5, St. Brigid's Terrace, Cavan, with the carrier - pigeon he found in the yard of the Dewdrop Inn, Cavan, last week. The pigeon had rather unusual brown and white feathering and had a wounded leg. One leg bore a silver ring with the following inscription - IUUF / 69 11525.
