The official opening of Mullahoran GFC's new park, Our Lady of Lourdes Park, took place on Sunday last. The project which cost in the region of 80,000 was officially opened by Mr. Phil Brady, Chairman, Cavan Co. Board GAA. Pictured above is Most REv. Dr. James Moynagh, former Bishop of Calabar, Nigeria, blessing the new park and dressing rooms. Eighty - one year old Bishop Moynagh is a native of Legwee, Loughduff, Ballinagh P.O. and spent over forty years on the mission fields. Following his return from Nigeria at the outbreak of the Civil War, he was appointed Parish Priest of Annaduff, a position from which he subsequently retired. He was a prominent member of the Mullahoran team in the late twenties where he lined out at centrefield, July 1983, issue 8142
