Say hello to the new face of Ireland, Cavan's Annita Brady.
The Drung native last weekend wowed the judges of the Face of Ireland competition in Dublin to be crowned with the accolade ahead of 32,000 online entries.
The down to earth, enthusiastic teacher, who works at revise.ie, says that the competition has given her an opportunity to put Drung on the map and to represent Cavan abroad - and that swings into action this weekend when Sky TV come to the picturesque village to film her homecoming.
"Yeah. It's crazy I know!" she says. "Sky in Drung."
"I just cannot believe the response of people here. I was just in St Mary's National School and to see the pride and the happiness, the kind words of support from them, all the community, friends and family. It's been absolutely great."
As part of her role as being The Face of Ireland, New York's St Patrick's Day parade beckons but it's not all parties and bright lights.
"I'll work my hardest to represent Drung, the county and Ireland abroad in business, tourism and get involved with The Gathering and am looking forward to being an ambassador for the suicide awareness group Grasp."
