J & C Promotions are proud to present Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney on The Grand Tour in what they describe as "three of the biggest names on the Irish entertainment scene coming together again for the biggest music event of 2010!"

The Grand Tour will feature Buckley, Mizzell and Feeney performing on stage for 13 nationwide shows from September to December!

The event is a must for followers of country and Irish music and with the addition of a seven-piece band, fans will also be treated to an unrivalled variety of hits from the rock 'n' roll era right up to the present day.

"Country is trendy and we aim to prove it" is the stated mission of the trio on tour.

Among Ireland's youngest and most successful country stars, they say they have joined forces to dispel the myth that being a country music fan means you're "outdated, out of touch and anything but cool"

Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney are on a mission, and they are confident that at the end of their nationwide tour, country music will be seen and heard in a different light!

The trio who have enjoyed massive success and acclaim all over the world as solo artists are savouring the task that lies ahead and they are up to the challenge.

"We are all still under 40 and we have fans that range in age from 15 upwards but for some unknown our genre of music isn't getting the recognition it deserves," stated Jimmy Buckley. "We want to change all that and that is why we have teamed up to tour Ireland with a show that we know will give country music a much needed boost".

Robert Mizzell who hails from Louisiana has now settled in Ireland.

He says: "Why is it that our fans are labelled as hillbillies and rednecks by the Irish media? It is so unfair and downright disrespectful! They deserve better! In America, country is more popular than pop and this is recognised by the media in the coverage they give to the sector and every station plays country music but here in Ireland the national radio stations never feature country music on their daytime playlists!"

Mizzell, who to date has recorded numerous albums admits that he is not included on mainstream national radio station playlists, even though he performs in front of thousands of fans every week!

"It just doesn't make sense! They're not playing us because it`s not 'cool' to do so!"

Patrick Feeney is the third member of the team. The 27-year old from Sligo concurs with his team mates, "Miley Cyrus is a country singer and she is played wall to wall on every station! The same treatment is given to Garth Brooks and rightly so, but if you're a country singer from Ireland, you're treated like a leper by the media and it`s simply not fair! If we didn`t have local radio supporting us, this industry which employs over 2,000 people would be doomed!"

• The Grand Tour featuring Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney will hit the Hotel Kilmore, Dublin Road, Cavan town on Tuesday, September 28. Contact 049-4332288 for further information or bookings.
