Anthony McBrien and Francie Smith.

Why not treat yourself to a meal followed by some free music and dancing in Belturbet, where the Harbour Bar and Captain's Table restaurant have a great weekend's entertainment lined up for this weekend, September 2 to 5.

Kick off the weekend a little early with Ally Harron and Marian Curry, a top musical duo from Derrylin, providing the music this Thursday night.

Ally found a passion for country music in his very early teens, and it's been his way of life since. In those early days Ally was influenced by country legends such as Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Buck Owens, George Jones and Merle Haggard. Discovering his great vocal ability, he learned to play lead guitar, so it comes easy now to Ally to give you a good country song with a taste of his unique yodelling which goes down a treat with a dedicated follower of country music. Ally has four albums todate, two of those are solo albums and two sharing vocals with his stage partner Marian Curry.

Marian Curry was lucky to be born into a family of traditional music with her dad being one of the founder members of the local Starlight Ceili band.

Extensive touring both in Ireland and the UK gave Marian a wealth of experience in the world of showbusiness and this is evident in her delivery and performance on stage and in recording. This Saturday, Michael Cleary and Breege Kelly, will bring their unique brand of country and Irish music to the same venue. Michael's country voice is second to none and he is equally at home singing an Irish ballad. Breege's style on the piano accordion is a pleasure to listen to - from waltzes to quick steps and highlands to ceili - as is her harmonising Then on Sunday, September 5, Anthony McBrien, from Kinawley, and Francie Smith are always a very popular duo. Anthony is described as "the big man with the big voice" and a rejuvenated Irish country music star. He has joined up with former Country Flavour guitarist, Francie Smith, to form one of the busiest two piece acts in the country. Their increasing popularity sees their diary full of dates for weddings, dances, bars, clubs and restaurants - with the ever welcoming Harbour Bar and Captain's Table being top of the list this Sunday. There's a sun garden at the back of the Harbour Bar should there be sunshine going. With good food in lovely surroundings, you can then jive, waltz or free-style the night away.
