Youth happy to get Bogged down in political play

Rehearsals for The County Youth performance of Bog Child the play adapted from the book by Siobhan Dowd are underway in Cavan with 20 young people from around the county taking part.

The play is set in a border county in Ireland during the Hunger Strike period of the 1980s when tensions where very high among the community and tells the story of Fergus a 17-year-old who just like any other that age wants to concentrate on his A-levels and going to England to study to become a doctor.
