You're in Cavan now so y'are
Stubborn hotel staff, heavy handed Gardaí and 'bandy legged farmers from Virginia' aren't enough to keep critically acclaimed Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan from going walkabout in a county he once described as "lunacy let loose".
"I'm looking forward to it", he says speaking about his forthcoming visit to Cavan, part of his current all-Ireland encompassing world tour. He then laughs as he recounts how a night on tour in the county back in 2002 ended with him pinned to a wall by an angry guard who warned, in the broadest of colloquial brogues, "You're in Cavan now so y'are".
