The Anglo Celt Street Seisiun gets underway

Street Seisiun Registration Information

Following the success of the last two year's Street Seisiun talent contest during the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Cavan, The Anglo-Celt in conjunction with the Fleadh Executive Committee (FEC) and FM Studios in Belturbet has decided to run this on-street traditional talent competition once more. The emphasis is on fun and entertainment.

Amplified instruments are excluded.

Those performing for financial gain will not be considered.

Registration

Registration is necessary. You can do so by emailing streetseisiun@anglocelt.ie or by calling in to thefleadh merchandise office and filling out a registration form

Registration Number

Those performing should have their assigned registration number clearly visible

Heats

Junior categories- 15 & under and 15-18- will take place from Tuesday to Thursday between 5 & 7pm

Senior categories- will take place from Friday between 5 & 8pm and on Saturday between 12 noon & 7pm

Location

Judges will be circulating during those times on the Main Street between the top of Bridge Street and Thomas Ashe Street.

Final

The best of the talent viewed will be selected to perform on the Peace III Gig Rig in the Street Seisíun final on Sunday afternoon, August 19 from 2pm to 4.30pm

Prize

Daily winners will be awarded to the junior categories.

A prize fund totalling €3,500 is to be won, as well as the opportunity to perform on the Peace III Gig Rig and there are 12 slots up for grabs.
