Cootehill singer takes on two classic tracks
Mostly the CDs that fall across the Celt's threshold come from either indie or trad bands, so it is refreshing to hear the more conventional pop songs that feature on Michelle Cunningham's latest demo. Michelle is an accomplished singer, who will already be familiar to many Cavan folk, particularly in her hometown of Cootehill.
This is Michelle's second demo. Her first, released about six years ago, was very well received and gained quite a bit of airplay. Earlier this year she had a cover of John Lennon's Imagine included on a charity compilation CD in aid of the Hope Foundation which sold well in Dublin's Tower Records.
