Raglans gig live streamed here on Thursday

Damian McCarney

A Dublin band who staked a claim as the best live act at last year's Cafe Sessions are making their triumphant return for what will surely be a full house at Chapter 1 this week.

Raglans, will be touring their forthcoming debut album, 'Fallen Heroes' produced by Lee Boylan (drummer from 'Fight Like Apes') in Inglewood Studios. They also have a five track EP available now on iTunes, called Long Live.

The fourpiece are chief songwriter Stephen Kelly (lead vocal, guitar), Rhos Horan (bass and backing vocals), Con O'Runaidh (drums and backing vocals and Liam Morrow (lead guitar, mandolin and backing vocals). Notice the backing vocals galore? Expect loads of harmonies, melodies in amongst their sound they describe as 'good time indie folk'. Blue Valentines presents Raglans at Cafe Sessions Chapter 1 on Thursday, July 26, 8pm. Support comes from Kate O'Callaghan. Assisted by Cavan Co. Council Arts Awards,it will be live streamed at www.cavantv.com and www.anglocelt.ie
