Belturbet singer pens song for children’s charity

Pat Dolan.
Belturbet man Pat Dolan has written an original song called Never Take Your Love Away for charity.
He has recorded the song and it is on sale now on CD or online, with proceeds going to the LauraLynn charity who are currently building a children’s hospice.
Pat wrote the moving melody and decided to record it on CD together with covers of three inspirational and uplifting songs: You Raise Me Up, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me and the Labi Siffre classic, Something Inside So Strong. Pat spoke warmly of the LauraLynn House Foundation to whom all profits from the venture will be donated.
“The LauraLynn Children’s Hospice Foundation was set up in 2001 as a result of an enormous personal tragedy in the lives of Jane and Brendan McKenna which saw them lose both of their precious daughters Laura and Lynn in the space of just two years,” explained Pat.
“They are building Ireland’s First Children’s Hospice, which is desperately needed and €11 million is needed to support this capital development,” he said.
The music enthusiast also has plans to formally launch the CD in different areas in the coming weeks and months.
The CD is officially sponsored by Homemakers in Cavan who are the chief stockist in Cavan.
It is also available to buy for just €5 in many shops and outlets throughout this county. If you would like to download the title song for just €2, or make a donation, you can do so by going to www.sunshinehome.ie.
