Stradone Oil is a family run business established in 1985 by Sean & Pat Smith who saw a niche in the market for the delivery of oil products and in doing so have been fortunate in securing business through good products choice and competitive pricing. Stradone Oil buy only top quality products and have a spotless reputation with regards to their oil.

Stradone Oil is now run by Louise Conway.

Mrs Louise Conway manager/director is a daughter of Sean Smith and niece of Pat Smith. Louise has lots of experience in the runnings of an oil company having worked within the industry for the past 19 years.

David Smith is a son of Sean Smith’s and has worked with the company many years. David is the Sales manager and delivery driver. Eugene Lynch is the second of Stradone Oil’s dedicated drivers both are well rehearsed on the delivery of oil.

 

WHAT OIL BEST SUITS MY HEATING NEEDS?

GAS OIL

* Gas oil is used as home heating oil in a lot of older house burners.

* It is green in colour (dyed) and can also be referred to as 35 second oil or Marked Gas Oil. Recent legislation introduced has stated that it is illegal to sell gas oil which doesn’t confirm to the new low sulphur guidelines.

* Green diesel can be used to run generators, fridge units on trucks, farm and construction machinery as well as off road vehicles.

* It can only be used for heating systems with outdoor burners.

 

KEROSENE

* Kerosene is a home heating oil which is also known as “Kero” or “paraffin”.

* It is pinkish in colour, clean burning (low sulphur content) and economical to use.

* Kero is also referred to as 28 second oil.

* It can be used indoors such as Aga cookers for e.g. Stanley Range

* Kerosene is treated with an anti-freeze agent so as to ensure it is “winter grade”.

* All year round (-18 max)

 

AUTO DIESEL

* Also known as Road Diesel, White Diesel or DERV.

* This fuel is clear in colour.

* It is subject to a Vat rate of 23% and is used in all road going diesel engined vehicles.

 

AGRI DIESEL / GAS OIL

* It is green in colour (dyed) and can also be referred to as 35 second oil or Marked Gas Oil.

* Green diesel can be used to run generators, fridge units on trucks, farm and construction machinery as well as off road vehicles.

* It is subject to a V.A.T. rate of 13.5%
