Co Cavan Juveniles The Presidents Prize for Juveniles was held on Saturday last, the weather was favourable and the scoring was very good. In the girls competition over the back nine holes Yvonne Brady (46) with 25pts just edged out her sister Eleanor (52) on the count back, Emma Walsh (54) was third with 20 pts. The nine-hole of the yellow tees was won by Daragh Gannon (54) with a score of 34pts, second place went to Conor Mulvany(54) with 31pts, and in third place James Veale (38) with 29pts. Daniel Maguire (34) won the 18 hole competition of the green tees with a score of 42pts, Liam Brady (28) was second with 40 pts. Juveniles are reminded to check the handicap list in the pro-shop as they enter the competitions, this list will be updated regularly according to the scores returned. As we now are playing the rules of golf, we remind you that it is the players responsibility to know the rules. Fergal Dunne produced a fine score of 74 to win the cup. Fergal Reilly from Clones Golf Club was second with a 75 on a count back and Damien Leahy also with 75 was 3rd. 1st nett was won by Philip McMahon with 67. 2nd Seamus Smith with 68 and Frank Glancy was 3rd with 70. Jonathan Cawley was 2nd with 81 on a count back and Liam Bouchier was 3rd, also with 81. Category prize was won by Berney Quinn.
