The Open Golf Classic took place on Sat/Sun 13th /14th June

The weather was quite pleasant and the course was in excellent condition

Last Saturday June 20th. Mrs.Dympna Minogue, Lady President"s Day was held .There was a great turnout from the ladies.The winner was Margaret Drumm runner up was Anne Callaghan,Gross was won by Monica Donohoe,past president was won by Bridie Donohoe,front nine Joan Henderson,back nine Phylis Brennan,36 handicap was won by Josephine Collins,and putting competition Bridie Reynolds.Mens nine hole competition was won by Eugene Mc Carthy and runner up by Kevin Smith. Well done to Dympna on a very successful day.

Mens Annual Sub competition was won by Joe Rowan with a score of 63.

Upcoming fixtures .Saturday June 27th Widows Bar 3 Person Team Scramble.Sunday June 28th. Lost Ball Society will have their annual outing. July Monthly Medal will be held on Sunday 5th.Open Week starts on Wednesday July 8th.Details in next weeks notice.

Singles and doubles matchplay (first & second rounds) are now due to be completed. First name on the list or name on top of list are responsible to make contact with their opponent. Dates for completion of each round must be adhered to.

Fees start for students at €74, beginner gent is only €242,beginner lady is only €163, distant membership cost only €187, lady membership is only €315, full membership for gent is only €394, man & wife costs only € 507.Great value for green fees plus lunch will only set you back €25.for full details contact Hugh at 087-9891175.green fees at €25 for all day golf.

Results of 18 hole Stroke Competition played on the 17th June , sponsored by Mary McKeown Hairdressing, 1st Terry Crowe - (17) 70 net, 2nd Carmel Gavin (23) 71 net.

Open Week - Ladies 18 Hole Stableford sponsored by AOR Insurance and Auctioneering, time sheet in Pro Shop. Please support our sponsors by playing in this competition.

Draws have been made for the Lyons Cup Fourball, Junior Cup and Intermediate Cup, details on notice board in Ladies Locker Room. First Rounds to be played by the 14th July.

Evening golf for beginners continues every Tuesday at 7 p.m.
