Amazing win for u14 ladies

A tremendous late rally saw the Cavan U14 ladies team emerge victorious in the All-Ireland final against Cork in Banagher, Co Offaly on a scoreline of 0-17 to 4-4 last Saturday.

With time running out, Cork netted their fourth goal but Cavan remained calm and replied when Sarah Curran and Leah Brady pointed in the 57th and 58th minutes.

Three minutes’ injury time was announced and Cavan were a point down and the crowd erupted as Erin Longair went on to score the equaliser from a free.

And there were incredible scenes as the outstanding Deirbhile McCaffrey kept a cool head to fire over the winning point in the dying seconds of injury time. The long whistle sounded, and Cavan were champions.

Cavan had a number of outstanding performers, with Arva's Kayla Brady awarded Player of the Match.
