'Choral Evening’ at Croaghan

Where: Croaghan Church, Killeshandra
When: Good Friday, April 18, 8pm
What: Croaghan Presbyterian church’s United Choir brings fresh Choral Praises, on themes from “The Temple of the Lord.” Friends and neighbours from the wider community are warmly invited to join us for some new and some oldtime Gospel favourites. Bicentenary Celebrations
Where: Killoughter Church of Ireland
When: This weekend
What: Killoughter Church of Ireland Bicentenary Celebrations will begin this week on Good Friday. At 7pm a book will be launched on Parish History, followed by a Good Friday Service at 8pm. On this Saturday from 2-6pm there will be an exhibition of parish memorabilia on the school and the church. On Easter Day at 3pm there will be a Thanksgiving Service for 200 years of Worship and Witness.

'A Night in November’

What: Marie Jones’ play 'A Night in November’ will be performed by Padraic McIntyre. This production has been receiving very popular reviews and a number of people who have already seen the play are anxious to see it again.

Castletara Foroige club

Where: Ballyhaise Community Centre

What: Easter coffee morning and fun activity morning for the kids. This is a fund raising event so all voluntary donations very welcome.

Auction and fundraiser

What: Auction and fundraiser in aid of the Jimmy McMahon Irish Heart Foundation (IHF) Appeal. 'Zach’s Kilimanjaro Challenge’ will see 11-year-old Zach McMahon-Wright attempt to climb 20,000 feet to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro-Africa’s highest peak. See article on page 47.

Camogie Club’s Annual Sale

What: Bailieborough Shamrock’s Camogie Club are holding their annual cake and book sale. All are invited along for some fresh, homemade baking as well as Face Painting, light refreshments, games, book sale, DVD and Cd Sale. The Club are having a Clothes Sale with never before worn clothes with tags on. If you are interested in donating any of the above, please drop all into 'Turning Heads’, Hair Salon, Main Street up until 4pm on Saturday, April 19 or the Community Centre on Sunday morning.

What: Fleming’s Folly 7K Walk or Run. Registration at Ballinagh Community Centre at 12.30pm.
Sponsored cards available from Gavin’s Centra and Moore’s Spar. Proceeds in aid of St Christophers’ Hospice, Cavan and Cavan CF Hospital unit.
Big Country Night

Where: Kinawley Community Centre
When: Easter Monday, April 21
What: Artists appearing include Sean Corrigan, Anthony Mc Brien, Benn Sisters, Paul Kelly, Alanna Maher plus one or two surprises. All proceeds to Marie Curie and Fermanagh Children’s Hospice.
