Ideal homes exhibition in Cavan

The first ever Cavan Ideal Homes Exhibition will be held between Friday, September 11 and Sunday, September 13. Now that the rate of property exchange has slowed down homeowners, instead of being concerned with the value of their home on the market, can think more about how to make it a real family-centred home rather than an asset. Improving energy efficiency and switching to greener and cheaper methods of sourcing our electricity is becoming more and more popular with homeowners. The exhibition hopes to tap into this new interest with a free seminar on renewable energy as well as other topics including kitchen design, hot tubs and saunas as well as displays of modern furniture ideas. Many products will be on sale and the organisers have hinted that there may be large discounts on offer. Cavan Equestrian centre will provide the backdrop for this showcase of modern-day interior decoration and landscape gardening. There will be over 100 exhibitors at the event, displaying interesting household or gardening items. Saturday is Family Day - there will be bouncing castles and face painting for kids. Kids and parents will all enjoy the variety of international cuisine on sale. Each day the Continental Market will be offering delicacies from France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Greece, Poland, Hungary and many other countries. There will be lots of different fruit and vegetables, farmhouse cheeses, jams, savoury olives; German, French and Polish breads, Bavarian sausages, Slovakian roast pork, French crepes, waffles and many other tempting dishes from around the world. The exhibition will be open on Friday September 11 from 4pm to 9pm, Saturday from 11am to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Tickets for the event are €10 per person with free admission for children. Great surroundings, a family-friendly atmosphere and experts on hand to help you transform your house into a cosy home will all be on offer at the Cavan Ideal Homes Exhibition, Cavan Equestrian Centre, Cavan.
