Anne's Caledonia wins Anne Galligan of Ramor Macra won the solo singing category of the National Talent Competition on Sunday in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, with a beautiful rendition of Caledonia. This is a first for Ramor Macra. Anne has been an active member of Ramor Macra for several years and was recently the only girl to take part in the successful Shave, Wax or Dye night. Congratulations to Anne on from all in Cavan Macra! Cullinan Scholarship 2010 A scholarship funded by the Agricultural Trust and the Irish Farmers Journal enables young farmers to visit New Zealand and work for six months to gain experience of alternative methods of dairy farming. Applicants have to be current members of Macra, aged between 18 and 30 on January 1, 2010 and committed to pursuing a career in the dairy industry. The aim is to recognise and reward the top young farmers in the country. Entrants are judged according to farm business initiative and innovation, levels of farm efficiency and enterprise quality, farm safety and environmental protection awareness, as well as agricultural knowledge and community involvement.
