Ceire Smith may be down but certainly not out

Cavan Olympic hopeful Ceire Smith has admitted her disappointment at bowing out of the summer games qualifier at the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships in Qinhuangdao, China, but says she's more determined than ever of achieving her dream to secure gold for Ireland in the future. The last-16 51kg category fight took place on Tuesday (May 15) shortly before 9am GMT against tough opposition - former World bronze medallist and European champion Poland's Karolina Michalczuk. With women's boxing making its debut at the London 2012 Olympic Games this summer, this event doubled as the only qualification tournament for the summer games' three weight categories, as well as seeing athletes battling it out for 10 divisional World Titles.
