Maureen Denning (nee O'Reilly), Murmod, Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly of Gartbratten, Milltown, Belturbet. Thursday February 18th 2021, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family in her 90th year.

Loving wife of the Late Charlie, and treasured mother of Rosetta Lynch (Mullagh), Mairead (Murmod), Pauline Clarke (Killinkere), Christine McMahon (Killinkere), Cathal (Castlerahan), Eamon (Killinkere), Catherine (Crosskeys) and Imelda Tuite (Ballyjamesduff).

She will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Tony, David, Michael, Brendan, Seamus and Catherine's partner Gerry, daughters-in-law Jackie and Deirdre, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, 20th February, at 11am in St Mary's Immaculate Church, Virginia with burial afterwards in St Matthew's Cemetery, Maghera.

In accordance with government guidelines and to protect everyone, funeral is private to family only.

Kathleen Egan (née Brady)

Church View, Ballyjamesduff Road, Virginia, Cavan / Castlepollard, Westmeath

Kathleen Egan (nee Brady), Church View, Ballyjamesduff Road, Virgina and Lisnagirl, Killinkere, Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, died 19th February 2021, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband P.J. and her brothers Joe, Phelim, Ultan, Paddy and Andrew and sister Maureen.

Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Dolores, sister Bridie Sheils (Johnstown), brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Due to current government guidelines and HSE guidelines Kathleen’s Funeral will be private to family.

Kathleen’s funeral procession will leave her residence Sunday at 10.30am to arrive at St. Ultan’s Church, Killinkere for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Patricia Smith (née Carroll)

Mohercrom, Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of Patricia Smith, (née Carroll), Mohercrom, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, peacefully at her home in her 91st year, 19th February 2021.

Predeceased by her husband James, her parents, and her brother Tom Carroll.

Deeply regretted by her children Jim, Margaret, Ann, Pascal, Paul, Patsy, Carmel, Brendan, Kathleen, her 24 grandchildren and her great-grandchild Aimee.

Sadly missed by her brother Jim Carroll and sister Pearl Dunphy, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral mass will take place for her family in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patricia's funeral cortège will travel from Mohercrom via the Baileborough Road, Main Street, Church Street and Hall Street en route to the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday evening, 20th February, from 4.20 pm approximately.

Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line that route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect.

Thomas (Tommy) McCabe

Carnagh, Kilcogy, Cavan

Tommy died peacefully at The General Hospital Cavan on Wednesday the 17th. February 2021. Predeceased by his brother James.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret children Catherine, Mary, James, Maggie and Rosie, daughter-in-law Diane, sons-in-law George,Raymond, Anthony and Barry, sister Margaret Kane (Virginia), grandchildren Margaret, Niall, Sarah, Danial, Lucy, Saragh, James, Lydia and Molly, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives. neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Joe Goodwin

Lakefield, Roslea, Fermanagh

Peacefully in the loving care of his family at Omagh Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents James, Ellie and brother John. Dearly beloved husband of Una and much loved father of Paul and loving brother of Tess Leonard.

Reposing at his home until removal on Saturday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Tierney's Church, Roslea for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Joe's Funeral Mass and burial will be celebrated in the presence of his family and relatives (restricted to 25).

House strictly private.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects may do so as the funeral cortége travels to the chapel on Saturday morning adhering to current guidelines and social distancing.

Gerry Doonan, Bray, Co. Wicklow and late of Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim. February 18th. 2021. Peacefully surrounded by his family in the tender loving care of the staff at Wicklow Hospice.

Will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Carmel, his sons Stephen and Justin, his daughters Lorraine, Jennifer and Lucinda, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, Boghall Road, Bray on Sunday afternoon, 21st February, from 3pm to 4pm.

In line with government restrictions a private Funeral Mass for family only will take place on Monday morning, February 22nd, at 10.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray followed by interment in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Margaret (Maggie) McGovern (nee McGreal), Moneensauran, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan, formerly Sleivenakilla, Ballinaglera, Co. Leitrim. In her 101st year, peacefully at her son Oliver's residence.

Predeceased by her husband Charlie and daughter Annie May. Deeply regretted by her children John James, Mary, Paddy, Tony, Oliver, Maggie Rose, Francie and Gerry, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

House is private to family and friends.

Due to current restrictions a private family Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday 20th at 1pm in St. Patrick's Church, Glangevlin,with burial afterward to adjoining Cemetery.

Philomena Gardner (née Healy)

Ballinamore, Leitrim

and formerly Greaghglass, Aughnasheelin. Phil passed away in Oxford, England earlier this month.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Terry, her daughter Sarah, her son Kevin, brothers Joe & Charlie and all in the extended family circle.

Funeral Mass on March 1st at 11.30am in the Corpus Christi Church, Headington, Oxford followed afterwards by private cremation.

Bernice Treacy (née Martin)

Ballyhubert, Scramogue, Roscommon / Moyne, Longford

The death has occurred of Bernice Treacy (née Martin),Ballyhubert, Scramogue, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Corrinagh, Moyne, Co. Longford, February 18th, peacefully at her home, surrounded in love by her family.

Bernice will be sadly missed by her husband Eric, children Ella, Ava & Conor, parents Hugh & Bridget, sisters Gloria & Edel and brother Hughie, Eric's parents John & Ann, siblings Ian & Aislinn, extended Family, neighbours and friends.

It was Bernice's wishes that the house would remain strictly private to immediate family members only and in accordance with current Covid guidelines that no crowds would gather at the church or graveyard. This is obviously a very difficult time for family and friends. In accordance with Bernice's wishes should anyone want to share a memory of her, they can write a letter to us and post it to the family home.

Funeral mass will take place on Sunday February 21st at 1pm in St Anne's Church, Scramogue, with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Stanley Gray, Castleshane, Monaghan, peacefully at the Beacon Hospital Dublin on Friday 19th February 2021.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie (Jo), brothers Billy and Kenneth, brother-in-law Ardy, sisters-in-law Phyllis, Mary and Miriam, nephews Kenny, Eoin and Conor, relatives, friends and former colleagues in St. Davnet’s and the HSE.

Predeceased by his parents Jenny and James, brothers Noel and Gabriel, sister Evelyn, brother-in-law Benny, sister-in-law Bernie and nephew James.

Due to Government and HSE advice regarding public gatherings the house and burial will be private to family only (limited to 10).

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects on the afternoon of Sunday, 21st February, by lining the route in a socially distanced manner, as Stanley’s cortege travels from his residence, via Monaghan Town, to arrive at Coolshannagh Graveyard, for interment at 2pm.

Eileen Leonard

Cul Brennan, Ballybay, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Eileen Leonard, Cul Brennan, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, Thursday, February 18th, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her daughters Helen and Lena. Eileen, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her sons Fergal, Joe and Darren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Eileen’s funeral cortège will travel from her residence (driving), on Monday morning at 10.40am to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballybay for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
