Helen (Ellen) McKenna (nee Comey), Hillview, Killeeter, Mullagh,and formerly Monaghanoose , Bailieborough Co. Cavan, died 26th February 2021, peacefully, in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary and daughter Mary. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Paddy, her family Martina, Sheila, Nuala, Geraldine, James and Patrick, sons in law and daughters in law, sisters Margaret and Teresa, grandchildren Alannah, Laoise, Sionnach, Dylan, Fionn and Sam, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

“Those we love don’t go away,

They walk beside us every day,

Unseen, Unheard, but always near,

still loved, still missed, and very dear“.

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, Helen’s funeral will be private to family only.

Funeral procession will leave her residence Sunday at 1.40pm to arrive at St Kilian’s Church, Mullagh, for funeral Mass at 2pm - link to view Mass: https://vimeo.com/517271769. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines for those who are standing along the funeral procession. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please donations in lieu to Cavan Monaghan palliative care in care of any family member.

Gerard Deery, Halifax West, Yorkshire and formerly Cavan Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan Peacefully on the 13th February in the loving care of his daughters Ellen, Emma and grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ellen Deery, brothers Gabo, John, Dessie, Finbarr and nephew Martin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving sister Dolores and brothers Patsy, Hugh, Vincie and his twin Aidan, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service on the 9th March in Halifax West, Yorkshire.

Dermot Meade

Corglass, Milltown, Belturbet, Cavan / Clontarf, Dublin

Dermot Meade, Corglass, Milltown, Belturbet, County Cavan (formerly of Clontarf, Dublin), 25th February 2021, suddenly at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Jane, daughter Mary, son Peter, grandsons Sean, Kevin and Gavin, granddaughter Fiona and brother Alan, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his home until removal on Sunday, 28th February, at 1.15pm to Lakelands Crematorium (via Killeshandra) for Funeral Service at 2pm with cremation directly afterwards.

Due to ongoing government and HSE restrictions, Dermot's Funeral Service will be private to family members only. House private also.

Gene Brady

25 Truma Road, Granard, Longford

Formerly of 20 Colmcille Terrace, Granard, Co.Longford. Gene passed away peacefully in Mullingar General Hospital on the 26th of February 2021. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Patrick and Margaret and his siblings. Gene will be sadly missed by his son Owen (Australia), brothers Johnny and Peter (UK), sisters Bridgie, Mena (UK), Maggie, May, Rosie and Frances, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.

Gene's funeral cortege will leave Mullingar General mortuary at 11 o'clock to arrive to St.Mary's Church, Granard, on Monday, 1st March, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Granardkille Cemetery. Mass will be restricted to 10 people.

Sheffield England and formerly of Killasonna, Granard, Longford

Died on the 01/02/2021 peacefully in England. Sadly missed and always remembered by his brothers and sisters Martha, Patrick, Mel, Eileen and Maureen, his good friends Julie and Christopher, and all his relations and friends.

Funeral Mass on Sunday 28th of February at St Mary’s Church, Granard at 2pm followed by christian burial in Granardkille new cemetery.
