Dry day with temperatures reaching 12 degrees

Mist and fog patches will soon clear to give a dry day, outside of isolated light showers. Overall sunny this morning and again in many areas this evening, but with cloud building this afternoon. Highest temperatures will range 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, coolest in the east, in light east or southeast breezes.

The pollen forecast is high for today; while the solar UV index is moderate.

Dry tonight with long clear spells. However, some mist and fog patches will form later with a touch of frost in parts too. Chilly with lowest temperatures of -2 to +2 degrees Celsius in near calm.

Similar conditions prevailing on Thursday. Overall dry in light southeast breezes with sunny spells, brightest early and later in the day. Highest temperatures will range 10 to 12 or 13 degrees Celsius, coolest along the east coast.

The outlook for the coming days suggests it will stay dry in many areas Friday, however outbreaks of rain will gradually move in from the Atlantic later Saturday into Sunday. Drying up again into next week with high pressure building, bringing mostly fine and settled weather.

Thursday night will continue dry with long clear spells and just light southeast breeze. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees Celsius, coolest in the east under clearest skies with perhaps a touch of frost.

Friday is forecast to be another dry day generally with light to moderate southerly breezes. However, early morning sunshine will be replaced by cloudier skies moving in from the west. Patchy drizzle may affect Atlantic fringes towards evening. Feeling cool with highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees Celsius.

Friday night will be overall dry under broken cloud in moderate southerly breezes. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, again coolest in the east with perhaps a touch of frost.

Looking ahead to the weekend and Saturday will begin dry with sunny spells, however cloudy outbreaks of rain will gradually move into Atlantic counties, slowly moving into remaining areas towards nightfall. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees Celsius, in moderate, occasionally fresh southerly breezes.

The outlook for Sunday and Monday is for overall cloudy conditions with scattered outbreaks of rain, driest across Leinster with some sunny spells here. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees Celsius, in moderate, occasionally fresh southerly winds.
