It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Sean Brennan

Culloge, Edgeworthstown, Longford / Knockloughlin, Longford / Mullahoran, Cavan

Sean Brennan, Culloge, Edgeworthstown and Knockloughlin Co. Longford. Formerly Mullahoran Co. Cavan, Sunday October 3rd. peacefully, at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Theresa and John and his sister Brónagh.

Sadly missed by his loving sons Sean and Niall, their mother Kathleen and his partner Marcella. brother's Pat, Terry, Aidan, Seamus and Kevin sisters Annamay, Della, Rose, Catherine and Josephine, uncle, aunt's, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home in Culloge, Edgeworthstown,(N39XA44) on Tuesday from 4pm. until 9pm. House private at all other times. Removal from his home on Wednesday morning to Our Lady of Lourdes Church Mullahoran for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Internment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Due to Government and H.S.E. Covid-19 guidelines the Church is restricted to 50% capacity.

Brian (Benny) Dunne

Oghill, Ballinagh, Cavan

Arrangements have changed.

Brian (Benny) Dunne, Oghill, Ballinagh Co Cavan. Beloved husband of Bridget and dear father of Bernard, Frank, Sharon and Michael. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter his brother Paddy, son in law and daughters in law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd, Cavan, on Tuesday, 5th October, from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, 6th October, in St Michael’s Church, Potahee, at 12 noon. Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Séamus Lynch

Killycloughan, Canningstown, Cavan

The death has occurred of Séamus Lynch, Killycloughan, Canningstown, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. 3rd October 2021, peacefully at The Mater Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his partner Jurgita, his daughter Jessica, son Jason, parents John and Kathleen, brothers Liam and Ciarán, sister Mairéad, brother-in-law Gareth, sisters-in-law Niamh and Maria, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Due to Government and HSE restrictions Séamus Funeral Mass and burial will be celebrated in the presence of his family and friends to half capacity of the Church. The Lynch family would like to thank you for your cooperation and consideration at this difficult time. Funeral cortege will leave Séamus home on Wednesday morning at 10.30 am via Corraneary Church to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, East Knockbride for 11 am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Brigid's Cemetery, East Knockbride.

Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line the route on Wednesday morning in a safe and socially distance manner as a mark of respect of Séamus. House private at all times please. Andy McHugh

Lannanaria, Corlough, Cavan

Peacefully at the Mater Hospital, Dublin

Andy will be sadly missed by his heart-broken wife and best friend Geraldine, his sisters Margaret, Breda, Alice & Pauline, mother-in-law Molly, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing privately at his home for family, neighbours and close friends on Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Corlough, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial will take place afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Aughnasheelin. Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu, to the Oncology Unit at Cavan General Hospital, c/o Smiths Funeral Directors, Ballinamore. Funeral Mass may be viewed on the Corlough Templeport Facebook page.

Due to current Government guidelines, attendance at the funeral Mass will be restricted. The family appreciates your understanding, sympathy and support at this sad time.

Pat Shiels

Knockatudor, Tullyco, Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Pat Shiels, Knockatudor, Tullyco, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Monday 4th October, peacefully.

Pat will be greatly missed by his loving wife Nancy, his children Michéal, Patrick, Fiona and Nicola, sister and lifelong friend Dympna, daughters-in-law Mary and Tina, sons-in-law Steve and Brian, beloved grandchildren, Lija, Kevin, Lucas, Killian, Mark, Colm and Ciaran, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.
