It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Paddy Archbold

Drumlayden, Corlough, Co. Cavan and formerly of Magenta Crescent, Santry, Dublin.

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in the presence of family.

Predeceased by his wife Bernie and his sons John and Alan.

Paddy will be sadly missed by his sons Patrick, Niall, Garrett & Ciaran, daughters Caroline & Sinead, brothers Willie & Anthony, sister-in-law Vera, his special friend Peggy, daughters-in-law Attracta, Kristin & Sharon, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & friends.

The death has occurred of Paul Glackin

Enagh, Lisduff, Virginia, Cavan

Paul passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his wife Geraldine, children Annie and Harry, grandson Matthew, father Charlie, siblings Imelda and Joseph, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

May His Soul Rest in Peace

Paul will be reposing at his residence in Enagh, Lisduff, Virginia (A82 T884) this Sunday evening from 6pm to 8pm, house private at all other times. Funeral Mass in St. Matthews Church, Maghera this Monday at 12pm with burial afterwards in Virginia Cemetery. People are welcome to line the route of the funeral cortege from Paul's house to the chapel on Monday as a form of respect.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful care Paul received from palliative care, all carers and health care workers on this journey.

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, the capacity of the church will be restricted to 50%.

Hazel McHugh (nee Graham)

Drumkilrooske, Derrylane, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan.

Friday, October 15th, 2021, peacefully, in the Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell. Predeceased by her loving husband Blaney. Very sadly missed by her brother James, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and extended family.

Removal leaving her residence on Monday, at 12.30pm, arriving at Derrylane Parish Church for Funeral service at 1pm, followed by Burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Gerard Clerkin

Bellview Heights, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly of Castleblaney, Co Monaghan.

October 16, 2021 (peacefully) in the company of his loving family at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

He will be very sadly missed by his beloved wife Bernadette, daughters Angelina, Sharon, Nicola and Jean and son Paul, grandchildren Cormac,Tiarnán, Shane and Varsha, brothers Francie and Phil, sister Philomena, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, relatives and many friends.

A private family funeral will take place on Monday at 2 o'c in St Paul's Church, Mullingar, followed by burial in Ballyglass Cemetery. The Funeral Mass may be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie.

Saturday 16th October peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her parents Maggie & John Joe. Lovingly remembered by her loving husband John, her sisters Geraldine McGuirk (Thomas) & Carmel, brothers Martin (Noeleen), Brendan (Paula) & Seamus, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Angela's remains will repose at her residence (please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times) from 12.30pm on Sunday until removal on Monday to arrive at St.Patricks Church, Tyholland for 2pm Funeral Mass (limited to 50% of church capacity); https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-patricks-church-tyholland. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
