Residential farm up for sale in Kilnaleck

Bidding on a residential farm in Kilnaleck closed last week as interest in the property brought to market by Liam Reilly’s Auctioneer Ltd attracted high levels of attention.

The property at Urbal and Aughaloora, Kilnaleck, Cavan had a ‘price on application’ listing. The farm was for sale by private treaty with an overall floor area 39.7 acres, including the residential farm and out offices.

The land is laid out in two divisions close to each other. It contains a 25.7 acres area, including around 4.7 acres of bogland, with extended road frontage and the two story dwelling house in need of complete refurbishment and a number of old out-offices.

The second parcel is a 14 acres lot, including 1.3 acres of bogland, also with extended road frontage. The land is described as ‘top quality’ and is in use for both meadow and grazing. The main selling point is the prospect of acquiring a good quality holding or extend an existing holding all in close proximity.

The vendor points out that the two story dwelling is in need of complete refurbishment. It comprises of kitchen, living room with solid fuel Stanley cooker, parlour, wheelchair accessible toilet and washroom facilities. The upstairs has a landing, hallway and three bedrooms.

This property is located close to Aghaloora Church and is a 10-minute drive from the towns of Kilnaleck and Ballinagh.
