Cocaine, cannabis worth over €100k seized in Navan search

Gardaí seized approximately €102,300 worth of drugs and arrested one man during a search operation in Navan this morning (Thursday).

The search of a residence was conducted in the Macetown area by Gardaí attached to the Meath Divisional Drug Unit, Navan Regular Unit, the Armed Support Unit and the Garda Dog Unit.

During the course of the search, approximately €100,870 worth of suspected cocaine and €1,500 of suspected Cannabis were seized. All drugs are subject to analysis. Various drug paraphernalia and €1,740 cash were also seized.

One male, aged in his late 20s, was arrested at the scene and taken to Trim Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
