Harry kickstarts county 3-point challenge

Harry will visit each of the 40 club grounds in Cavan on Easter Monday.

Former Cavan minor footballer Harry McCabe is well on the road to completing his '3-Point Challenge’.

The Cootehill native started in West Cavan early on Easter Monday, April 18, completing kicks in Blacklion, Templeport, Ballyconnell and Belturbet before 8am.

Harry will visit each of the 40 club grounds in Cavan, donning his familiar number four jersey from each local club, and kick three points at each pitch.

By 8pm this evening, he hopes to be back on familiar turf, back at Hugh O’Reilly Park in his native Cootehill.

Harry, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease three-years-ago, is fundraising For Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and MS Ireland and Parkinsons Association of Ireland.

To date this challenge has raised more than €8,000.
