Leona Maguire backed to win after positive form

Cavan woman became the first Irish golfer to win a tournament on the LPGA Tour earlier this year.

Fans of Leona Maguire are expecting big things next year for the Cavan golfer who has been well supported in the bookies to win plenty of trophies.

Leona enjoyed a sensational weekend at the Women’s Open in Muirfield where she carded a superb final round to finish tied for fourth. It was her highest ever finish in a major championship.

She became the first Irish golfer to win a tournament on the LPGA Tour earlier this year, and now Irish punters believe she has a strong chance of winning her first major in 2023 backed into 5/1 from 10/1.

“We now make the Cavan golfer 5/1 from 10/1 to win her first major next year while it’s 4/5 from 11/10 for her to win one or more LPGA tournaments in 2023,” said Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports.
