Ashgrove, Ballinagh and formerly Fairview , Cavan Town, Ballinagh, Cavan / Cavan Town, Cavan

The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Dunne, Ashgrove, Ballinagh and formerly Fairview, Cavan Town, Sunday, November 27th 2022. James died peacefully, in the loving care of his family, at his home.

Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend Mary. Sadly missed by his children Jackie (Jess), Sandra (Jimmy), Debbie (Declan), Adrian (Rosie), Jim (Gabby), Charmaine (Johnny), Karl (Mary) and Serena (Alan), his sisters Tina and Pat, brothers Danny and Brendan, all his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a close circle of friends.

Sr. Stephanie Brophy

Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary Cavan, Cavan / Athy, Kildare

The death has occurred of Sr. Stephanie Brophy, Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary, Cavan and formerly Athy, Co. Kildare. On mission in South Africa, Bridgewater and Ireland, November 26th 2022, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff in College View Nursing Home, Cavan.

Predeceased by her parents, Martin and Bridget (Bridie) Brophy, and her siblings Lottie, Kitty, Josie, Betty and Martin.

Sr. Stephanie will be very sadly missed by her sister Colette, Athy, Co. Kildare, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, great-grandnieces and nephews, and her extended family, the Missionary sisters of the Holy Rosary, and all her relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Sr. Stephanie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning, 28th November, at 11am in the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan, followed by burial in the convent plot in Cullies Cemetery. Those who are unable to attend are asked to leave their condolences in the section at the bottom of this page. Please be aware that Covid 19 is still with us and you are asked to exercise caution please.

Hilda Mary Ferris (née Kane)

Tonyinn, Kill, Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Hilda Mary Ferris (nee Kane).

Late of Lisanymore, Virginia and Tonyinn, Kill, Cootehill and St Colmcille's Nursing Home Kells. Passed away peacefully on Friday the 25th of November in our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda surrounded by her loving family.

Hilda will be sadly missed by her loving husband Wilbert, brothers John, Victor and James, sisters June, Lorna and Deirdre, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends.

Resting at Mullen's Funeral Home, Cootehill on Sunday the 27th from 5pm - 7pm. Funeral service on Monday the 28th at 2pm in Kilmount Presbyterian Church followed by interment in adjoining graveyard.
