Warm, dry and generally sunny for the next week

Weather update from Met Éireann

High pressure will dominate our weather for the coming week. It will be warm, dry and generally sunny with temperatures in the high teens or low twenties. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann.

Dry for most of today with sunny spells, the best of which will be in the east and south. A few isolated light showery outbreaks will develop in Connacht and Ulster during the morning, spreading southeastwards as the day goes on. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees generally, holding a little cooler though in the northwest in light northerly or variable breezes.

Tonight, will remain largely dry with clear spells, though a few isolated patches of light rain and drizzle will develop in Munster and south Leinster. A cool night over the northern half of the country with lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees. Milder and somewhat cloudier further south with lows of 8 to 12 degrees in light northerly winds.

Feeling cooler tomorrow in moderate north to northeast breezes. Generally dry with spells of sunshine through the day. However, it will be a cloudier morning over the southern half of the country with the chance of an isolated shower or two in Munster, though becoming sunny there also in the afternoon. Highest temperatures generally of 14 to 18 degrees, but a degree or two cooler in north Ulster, in light to moderate northeasterly breezes.

Sunday night will be dry with largely clear skies. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light northeasterly winds.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry and largely sunny days. Warm with highest temperatures of 17 to 21 or 22 degrees generally. A light to moderate easterly breeze will keep things slightly cooler on eastern coasts with highs there of 14 to 17 degrees.

The nights will remain dry and clear with overnight temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees.

Current indications suggest that high pressure will continue to dominate our weather for the latter half of next week. It will stay dry with spells of sunshine and temperatures reaching the high teens or low twenties.
