John Joe McGrath, 4 Riverview, Blacklion, Co. Cavan, suddenly, but peacefully. Predeceased recently by his Beloved wife Marita Ann and his son Peter, John Joe will be greatly missed by his children Shirley, Helen, Caroline, Katie, Paddy, Bridget, Felix, Roisin and Anne, all his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren sons in law, daughters in law, extended family, neighbours and friends. John Joe is survived by his brothers Peter and Raymond and his sister Bridie

John Joe will repose at his daughter Bridget’s house, 7 Glen Eoin, Station Road, Manorhamilton, F91 H5H0, on Wednesday 7th and Thursday, 8th June, from 5 until 8pm for anyone wishing to pay their respects. Removal on Friday morning to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Killinagh, Blacklion, for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Killinagh Cemetery.

James Joseph (Jimmy Joe) O'Reilly

Mullahoran Upper, Kilcogy, Cavan

Suddenly but peacefully, the day after his 90th birthday. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his beloved wife of 57 years Wendy (nee Sibley), his children, Angela Mullooly (Lanesborough), Colette (Cavan), Eamon (Reading, U.K.), Seamus (Celbridge) and Fiona (Celbridge). Daughter-in-law Lisa, Son- in-law Ciaran, Seamus' partner Niamh and Fiona's partner Adrian. His adored grandchildren Ashleigh, Bryan, Olivia, James and Eoghan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

Paddy Byrne Lakeview, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, formerly of Love Lane, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, after a short illness at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by his father Tom, mother Mary, his brothers Tom, and Seamus, nephews PJ, and Thomas. Deeply regretted by his wife Betty, daughter Mary, son Paddy (Aine), Patrice (Katie),Tony (Caroline), Sandra (Eamon), and Philip, sister Betty, grandchildren Andrea, Thomas, and Zoe, sister in law Sylvia, nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends, neighbours and Army colleagues. Paddy was a member of the Irish Army from 1960 to 1998.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Reposing at his residence from 6:30pm to 9pm today. Tomorrow Wednesday from 12 to 9pm. Remains leaving his residence on Thursday at 10:15am, on foot via McGrath Road, passing Super Valu to Main Street, York Street, to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Castleblayney, for funeral Mass at 11am and burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick (Pat) Duffy

8 New Terrace, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Peacefully at Drumbear Lodge Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Susan and his brother in law Terry.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Rosaleen Reay, nephew, nieces, the entire family circle and his many good friends.

May Pat rest in eternal peace.

Reposing at the premises of McElvaney Funeral Directors, Church Square today Tuesday (06/06/2023) from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday (07/06/2023) from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Removal on Thursday (08/06/2023) at 1 p.m., arriving at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass 1.30 p.m.

Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Calvary cemetery, Latlurcan.
