Funding is sought for sliding Glangevlin bridge

The bridge just before you enter Glan Gap in Glangevlin on the R200 road is in a precarious condition and one lane has been closed for a considerable time. The road takes you right from Dernacrieve Cross right across Glan and onto Dowra, Blacklion and Sligo. Cllr Peter McVitty said they were pushing to get funding for it and he hopes that funding will come through early in the New Year. He revealed that there is a major problem with the foundation of the bridge, which has moved. Full story in this week's Anglo-Celt.
