Casey's dancing dream is coming true!

In June 2011, Tracey Fitzgerald, mum of a Cerebral Palsy patient, launched Casey's Dream Appeal, in the hope of raising funds for her daughter to have life-changing surgery by a specialist in Bristol. Now six-year-old Casey's dream that she might throw away the walking frame and calipers that she hates so much and dance with her friends looks set to come true. By the new year, a whopping €44,091 was in the bank. Thanks to the people of Cavan, the surrounding counties and further afield, Casey and Tracey are all set to depart for England on Sunday, January 22. The fund covers the cost of the €30,000 operation, flights, accommodation, equipment for aftercare and a therapy shed in their Mullagh home, and leaves €6,000 towards the start of Casey's aftercare, which involves two years' physiotherapy to help the brave little girl to learn to move all over again.
