Breifne College witness history in the making
Twenty-five first and second year students from Breifne College were VIPs for the day when they attended the inauguration of President Michael D Higgins in Dublin Castle last Friday. The invitation was a recommendation from then president Mary McAleese following her visit to Breifne College last year, revealed school principal John Crotty, who waived his place so that the Year Heads for first and second year, Shelia Coyle and Pauline McCauley could attend with the 25 students drawn, at random, from those two years together with tutors Philomena McConnell, Sean Johnston and Fr Jason Murphy.
