The Hole in the Wall gang struck in Cavan Town.

All the colour from a dozen parades

As far as celebrating our national feast day, Cavan is second to no other county when it comes to demonstrating our community and civic pride. There were a dozen parades hosted in towns and villages across county Cavan yesterday with people turning out in their hundreds and thousands despite the changeable weather conditions, which saw numerous heavy showers and cold temperatures.

There was plenty of colour and craic on display. Donald Trump was still proving popular when it came to inspiring floats but Theresa May and Brexit were also dominant, not to mention Border smuggling and ATM hole in the wall gangs. Apart from that, there was the usual array of vintage cars and tractors; clubs and societies for what was a tremendous celebration of all things local.
