A huge crowd at last year's inaugural Mullahoran Country Music Festival

Get your cowboy boots at the ready, Mullahoran GFC are bringing country to Cavan!

The Mullahoran Country Music Festival is back and better than ever promising to be an unforgettable weekend with big names on each night.
The weekend long event kicks off this evening (Friday) July 19 with music from Louisiana man Robert Mizzell, who was voted Ireland’s favourite country music singer in a recent poll.
Next up on the night Patrick Feeney with crowd pleasers such as ‘Red haired Mary’ and ‘Lady of Knock’.
On Saturday July 20, Mike Denver will keep you thinking ‘Wasn’t that a Party’,  followed by a few top dance tunes by guitar supremo Ciaran Rosney.
Sunday, July 21 is set to close a phenomenal weekend with an energetic performance from Johnny Brady’s band and a Country Yodel from Tyrone starlet Cliona Hagan.
The Country Music Festival is one of the biggest of its kind in Cavan with over 1,000 people attending each night last year, and there’s expectations of even bigger crowds this year. The festival boasts the “no raincoat required” twist to their event: “With other country music festivals being held outdoors, we are hearing lots about festival goers getting soaked to the skin. Not in Mullahoran!”

Parking

There is parking available for campervans as well as a designated camping area for you to pitch a tent for the weekend. Their unique venue meets all your festival needs from a covered dance floor and Marquee Bar to shower and changing facilities and a burger bar to keep you going the whole weekend. What else could you want?
The festival was initially set up by the Mullahoran Dreadnoughts in 2018 to raise necessary funds for their club to pay off debt. Mullahoran chairman Ciaran Brady says the event was not only a big hit, but also brought everyone in the community together in aid of a great cause.
“What started out as a fundraiser for the football club has become a community effort and has united the parish on a whole new level, with even non-GAA people offering their services for the weekend!”
Amazed at the continued support, Ciaran says: “I have to say without the whole community behind us last year the festival would not have been the success it was. I say a big thank you to everybody on behalf of Mullahoran GFC and hope you enjoy this year’s event just as much as the line-up promises.”

Tickets for the festival are available at Lynch’s Gala at €20; €50 for weekend pass.
