Pedestrian dies after overnight accident
Gardaí are investigating after pedestrian was killed overnight after he was involved in a collision with a car.
The fatal road traffic collision which occurred overnight on the R162 Navan to Nobber road was reported shortly before 10.30pm on Thursday, October 11.
The man, aged in his 40s, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to Our Lady's Hospital Navan, where a post mortem will be carried out.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was uninjured.
The road at the scene of the crash is closed to facilitate an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
