Teen has jaw broken in serious assault

A teenager was left with a broken jaw following a serious assault in west Cavan earlier this month.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the incident, during which it's understood the 17-year-old male was involved in an altercation with a number of other youths.
The incident occurred on Saturday, October 14, in the vicinity of SuperValu in Ballyconnell.
Gardaí meanwhile are understood to be following a definite line of enquiry after a single male entered SuperValu in Ballyconnell in the early hours of last Saturday morning, October 20.
The man made good his escape but not before stealing a number of video games.
A further theft in the Cavan Town area occurred at the Meadow View bar in the early hours of last Sunday morning last.
Several youths entered the premises at around 4am, before making off with a quantity of spirits.
