Traffic disruption on R162

Motorists have been issued a warning about a disruption as a result of a road traffic incident on the R162. Cavan County Council say the main Shercock to Kingscourt road is expected to remain closed until lunchtime after a lorry overturned, partially blocking the road.

Cavan County Council informed motorists about delays as a result of the incident. They said: “A lorry has overturned on the R162 Kingscourt - Shercock Road at Northlands Cross. Kingscourt Fire Brigade is in attendance. The road is expected to be closed until lunchtime, motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
