Youth activist to run for Fine Gael

 

Former Foróige Chair Sandra McIntyre is joining Fine Gael’s General Election ticket in the Cavan-Monaghan constituency.

Ms McIntyre is currently the Vice-Chairperson of the National Council of Foróige, and previously served a two-year term (2016 – 2018) as Chairperson of the organisation.

Ms McIntyre was added to the constituency ticket at the weekend at a meeting of Fine Gael’s Executive Council.

She will run alongside Minister Heather Humphreys and Senator Joe O’Reilly.

Ms McIntyre, from Templeport, Co Cavan, said, “I am delighted and honoured to have been asked to run as a Fine Gael candidate in Cavan-Monaghan in the next General Election.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge and to getting into all areas of the constituency and listening to the people of Cavan and Monaghan to learn more about the challenges they face and the issues that are important to them.”
