Who is this musical True Blue football fan?

Wearing a blue jumper emblazoned with 'I [heart] Cavan Football', a video of this super fan playing a tune emerged shortly after Cavan shocked neighbouring county rivals Monaghan last weekend.

The man, seen sitting down, is playing a Stroh violin or what is also known as a Stroviol, a type of stringed musical instrument mechanically amplified by a metal resonator and trumpet attached to the instrument's body.

The video has been circulating for several days on social media, with fellow Breffni blues eager to find out who this musical GAA fan is.

Mickey Graham’s side dominated last season’s All-Ireland semi-finalists in front of over 13,000 fans in Kingspan Breffni Park last Saturday to progress to the next round of the Ulster Senior Football Championship.

The final score was 1-13 to 0-12, setting up a next round clash against Armagh at Páirc Esler.

***UPDATE***

Turns out this musical man in blue is none other than Kevin McCormack, a member of Cavan's 1959 Ulster Minor Football Championship winning team.

McCormack played corner back for the Cavan minors who won the Ulster title in 1959, but were beaten in the All-Ireland by Dublin.

Remarkably the Maghera native had lost all contact with his former team-mates. It was even thought that the talented footballer and musician had died. However reports of his death were premature and very much unfounded when shocked all and sundry when McCormack turned up at a 50-year reunion of the 1959 Ulster MFC winning team, held at Ballyconnell's Slieve Russell Hotel back in 2009.

Even then McCormack was proudly wearing the county colours, dressed in a blue-coloured 'I love Cavan' T-shirt and a pair of GAA shorts, and busked with the accordion, played the flute, and guitar to entertain the crowd.
