Police investigate Lisnaskea burglary

Detectives north of the border investigating a reported burglary at commercial premises in Lisnaskea in the early hours of morning (Thursday, June 13) are appealing for witnesses and information.
The incident is understood to have occurred at approximately 1-2am, when entry was forced to a shop located at a service station on the Moorlough Road.

The alarm was raised shortly before 7am after staff found damage caused to the shop till and a sum of money was stolen from an ATM machine located inside.
“Our enquiries are at an early stage, and I want to make a number of appeals today,” Detective Inspector Trevor Stevenson said.
“In particular, were you in the Moorlough Road/Crom Road area during the early hours of this morning, between 1am and 2am? Did you see any suspicious activity, including anyone working at the roadside close to the premises on Moorlough Road between 1am and 2am this morning? Did you see any vehicles in the area being driven in a suspicious manner around these times, or earlier in the week?” he asks also.
Detective Inspector Stevenson furthermore urged businesses to remain alert to any suspicious activity and to report it to police, adding: “If you see or hear of any suspicious activity in your area; any strange vehicles in the area or anything out of the ordinary, or if you think there is a crime in progress, please, pick up the phone and call us.”
Police are meanwhile still appealing for information following a reported hit-and-run road traffic collision in the Doon Road area of Derrylin on the evening of Sunday last, June 9.
The two-vehicle collision took place just before 7pm, when a dark-coloured Ford Focus being driven in the area hit and damaged the wing mirror of another vehicle.

The driver of the Focus drove off.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the collision, or who captured it on their dash cam, to contact police,” a spokesperson for the PSNI has said.
