Cavan near bottom of Ireland's Euromillions league table

New figures from the National Lottery have revealed that Cavan is third from the bottom of the league table for Ireland's luckiest Euromillions counties, only Roscommon and Laois sit below Cavan. The stattistics, compiled on wins greater than €15,000 between 2004 and 2019 show Louth to be the luckiest county averaging a major win for one in every 5,155 people in the county. The corresponding figure for Cavan is a major win for one in every 15,235 people. When the figures are broken down in terms of total major prize money won per county Cavan only rises one place on the table, with a combined figure of €1,711, 352 for the fifteen year period, this compares with Dublin which has a total of in excess of €581million in winnings. The euromillions figures follow the revelation that Cavan is fifth from the bottom in terms of major lottery scratchcard wins, the league table for scratchcards sees Dublin topping that table with a combined win of €5.3million since 2015. Cavan has a combined scratchcard win total of €220,000 for the past four years.
