Gardai appealing for witnesses to accident

Gardaí in Cavan are appealing for witness to a single-vehicle accident at Raheg, Ballyhaise, on Thursday, September 24, at approximately 2.25pm, in which the female driver was seriously injured. The accident happened on the Ballyhaise to Castletara Road when the car in which the woman was driving hit a tree. The driver was removed to Cavan General Hospital, where her injuries are described as "serious". Sergeant Jim Greene, who is heading the investigation, is appealing for witnesses to the accident to come forward or for anyone who travelled that road between 2 and 2.30pm.
