Run the Mini Marathon with Rehab

Are you considering taking part in this year's Flora Women's Mini Marathon? Well, why not Run for Rehab? This year, the Mini Marathon is on bank holiday Monday, June 6 and Rehab would love you to join in what promises to be a fun day out. They'll provide a run-pack including a detailed exercise plan and a sponsorship kit. So, there's no excuse not to put on those running shoes and get training! To join the Rehab team, contact Michael on 0874169247 or by email: Michael.Carty@rehab.ie Rehab Services in Cavan Rehab provides services to 147 people with disabilities in Cavan through its divisions RehabCare and National Learning Network at the Drumalee, Cootehill Road location and RehabCare's Bailieboro resource centre. Rehab is a leading non-governmental organisation which works towards a world where every person has the opportunity to achieve their potential. Rehab provides high-quality health and social care, training and education, and rehabilitation, employment and commercial services in Ireland, England, Scotland, the Netherlands and Poland. The people who currently use Rehab services include young people and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities, people with mental health difficulties, people with autism and people with an acquired brain injury. A range of essential services is also provided to older people, carers and others who are marginalised. Every year, more than 50,000 people and their families benefit from the supports provided by Rehab in over 200 locations. In partnership with the Health Service Executive, RehabCare provides a wide range of high-quality person-centred services. On the Cootehill Road in Cavan, our resource centre service offers such programmes as, community integration, personal development, independent living skills and social and leisure activities including part time paid work for 61 people. The service also offers supported accommodation for 7 people. Officially opened by President Mary McAleese in 2008, the RehabCare resource centre in Bailieboro provides similar programmes for 21 people with disabilities. National Learning Network provides training funded by FÁS and the Health Service Executive (HSE) for persons out of work through accident, illness or disability. A centre also located at the Cootehill Road, currently caters for 58 students from throughout the county and provides vocational and rehabilitative training. Courses offered include Employer-Based Training, which combines on-the-job and in-centre training in a skill area of the student's choice, and Rehabilitative Training, which aims to provide students with the skills, knowledge and resources to access employment, further training and other options in their community. www.rehab.ie www.1dayforrehab.ie.
