Fishing competitions Loch Gowna and Upper Erne Anglers will host a Junior Open Boat Pike Fishing competition on Saturday, April 21, on Derries Lake. Fishing from 12-4pm. Rural Transport Longford Please note that all Rural Transport Friday services throughout the county will run this Thursday, April 5, with the same collection and departure times. All age groups are welcome to travel. Annual Bog Road Walk Annual Bog Road Walk in aid of Irish Cancer Society on Easter Monday, April 9, at 3.30pm from the village. Sponsorship cards are available or come walk and give a donation. All children on bikes must wear helmets and be supervised. Those who have been taking part in Operation Transformation, the weigh-in will take place at 3pm before the walk. Also sympathy to Ann's brother Ned, Cormore, Arva; sister Mrs Margaret O'Reilly, Arva; son Brendan; daughter Annette; nephews; nieces; daughter-in-law; grandchildren; relatives and friends. Removal of her remains took place to St Matthew's Church Crosskeys on Thursday evening, April 22, and following requiem mass on Friday she was laid to rest in adjoining cemetery.
