‘Inspiring’ speakers for new business women’s club

High-profile economist Susan Hayes, nicknamed ‘the positive economist’ is speaking at the next meeting of the Cavan Business Women’s Club, which will be held in the Radisson Blu Farnham Estate Hotel on Tuesday, June 18.

The club is a professional business women’s network, supported by Cavan County Enterprise Board and launched in May.

As well as Susan Hayes, who is a contributor to RTE, Newstalk and Today FM, speakers will include productivity coach Ciara Conlon who will give useful tips on work-life balance and Yasmin Maassarani of Cavan Living who will cover the use of social media to market a product or service.

Marcella Rudden, business advisor, Cavan County Enterprise Board, described the line-up as inspiring.

'Susan will talk about Surmounting Barriers to Entrepreneurship and Accelerating Success. Complementing this, Ciara Conlon will speak about being focused on success and work life balance. Ciara’s approach is to motivate you to take action and provide you with the tools to get more done. She wrote a book entitled ‘Chaos to Control’ and also provides online courses including ‘Get Set for Success’. Yasmin Maassarani of Cavan Life will talk about the need to include social media in your marketing plan as well as giving members individual advice,' said Marcella.

Members can exhibit their products or services at meetings, and network and do business.
