Cavan to face Derry in All-Ireland qualifers

Having beaten Fermanagh in Saturday's fesity encounter, Cavan have been handed a tricky away tie against fellow Ulster team Derry.

This morning's draw for the All-Ireland Qualifiers also determined that should Cavan beat Derry, they will then to face the losers of the Connaught final between Mayo and London, in Round Four.

Despite drawing an away fixture, Cavan will be reasonably happy with the draw, having avoided the big guns in Cork, Kildare and Tyrone. This means that just Derry and London now stand in the Breffni county’s way of an All Ireland Quarter final in Croke Park. Kildare and Tyrone were pitted together in what is the stand out tie of the draw.

Draw in full;
Round 3 (First named team has home advantage)
Galway v Armagh
Wexford v Laois
Kildare v Tyrone
Derry v Cavan

Round 4 (Neutral venues)
Galway/Armagh v Cork
Wexford/Laois v Donegal/Monaghan (losers of next Sunday’s Ulster final)
Kildare/Tyrone v Meath
Derry/Cavan v Mayo/London (losers of next Sunday’s Connacht final)
