Hyland pays tribute to Ulster All Star winners

Cavan manager Terry Hyland paid tribute to his four stars who won Irish News Ulster All-Stars at the annual awards ceremony in Armagh last night.

Killian Clarke, Cian Mackey, Eugene Keating and Martin Dunne all scooped the prestigious awards last night. But Hyland insisted that the hard work is only starting now.

“They were recognised as individuals and deservedly so but it’s recognition for the group as well,” said Hyland.

“It was a very good night. I was at it last year and wasn’t as good a night for us I suppose because Cavan didn’t pick up any awards but when your county is being recognised, it’s great.

“It’s nice that the work was recognised but we have to build upon that and that’s where our job of work starts now again.”

The full team was: R Beggan (Monaghan), C Walshe (Monaghan), D Wylie (Monaghan), K Clarke (Cavan), D Mone (Monaghan), J McMahon (Tyrone), C Gormley (Tyrone), D Hughes (Monaghan), S Cavanagh (Tyrone), C Mackey (Cavan), E Keating (Cavan), Matty Donnelly (Tyrone), M Dunne (Cavan), K Hughes (Monaghan), C McManus (Monaghan)
