Overturned truck causes mid-morning traffic chaos

An overturned truck on the Dublin Road Roundabout on the outskirts of Cavan Town is causing major delays on some approaches on the N3/N55.

Gardai are on the scene and directing heavy mid-morning traffic after the accident which saw the three-axle truck with trailer topple earlier that day, shortly after 6am, blocking the the exit from Cavan Town.

No one was injured.

Alerts have been issued on national radio, and emergency mechanical services are also on the scene attempting to clear a path.
